Nation pinning hope on courts; courts looking elsewhere: Sirajul Haq
SWAT, July 24 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq has said the whole nation is seeing towards the courts whilst unluckily the courts are looking towards the garrison city of Rawalpindi.
Sirajul Haq said this during his address at a presser that held in Mangoora, Swat on Sunday.
It is a moment of thought that Pakistan ranks 130 in adherence to rule of law, he deplored, and added the courts ironically are totally overlooking corruption.
A layman might easily judge that the courts don’t make decisions in the light of what is true; what is untrue; what is fair; what is unfair but actually they accommodate the parties, he said.
He said that no action has been taken on Panama Leaks and Pandora Papers on the petition filed by them, and continued had the timely accountability been done, the situation would have been much better.
If it would have been done, he said, all the political parties would have been purged of corrupt elements while the politics would be dubbed a service of people instead of falsehood but the situation is otherwise as till-date narrative of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pakistan Tehree-e-Insaf (PTI) consists of falsehood.
These parties are in power in centre and province but due to their faulty polices and internal grudges, the country is going towards commotion, Sirajul Haq said, and added they ruined our economy and agriculture besides dollars soared to new heights.
He held responsible the flawed polices of the government due to which Pakistani rupee value depreciated; load-shedding worsened; extortion exacerbated; law and order deteriorated and daily-use items prices increased manifold.
Decisions pertaining to petrol, electricity and diesel prices are being taken in the closed rooms of International Monetary Fund (IMF), he lamented. Time has come to get rid of IMF, he said, adding for this to happen the nation will have to support Jammat-e-Islami as only it can steer the nation out of inflation, unemployment, corruption and interest by putting the country on the path of progress and prosperity and following the footprints of Islamic system that may safeguard the rights of all and sundry.
General Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Abdu Wasi and Emir district Swat Hameedul Haq also graced the event with their presence.
Moreover, Sirajul Haq said that National Assembly and provincial assemblies are portraying the pictures of horse-trading while the leaders are busy in their mutual clashes.
Right now the gigantic problem of this land of ours is that of corruption which ought to be addressed on emergency basis, he said, adding so much so the political parties still found to be indulged in politicking.
Sirajul Haq appealed to the masses to stand up for getting rid of this redundant system as it is the very system which has been holding hostage all the society. Utilize the Jamaat-e-Islami platform to safeguard rights of downtrodden people as well as for the supremacy of religion of Almighty Allah for putting Pakistan on path of development, he concluded.
