NA Speaker visits Rashid Memorial Welfare City, Alamabad Swabi
SWABI, Feb 20 (SABAH): Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that construction of Rashid Memorial Welfare City Alamabad would promote health education and other activities in the area. He said that its completion will change the destiny of the people of the area.
He said this while addressing a function held at Rashid Memorial Welfare City, Alamabad on Sunday to review the ongoing development project.
Speaker Asad Qaiser said that this is a public project and this is being constructed with funds from funds by people and philanthropists, adding that not a single penny was being spend on the project from public exchequer.
He said that this project will bring prosperity and reduce sufferings of marginal segments of society specially the differently abled. He said that it is worth mentioning that the locals have provided one thousand kanals of land free of cost for this welfare city. The city has various departments including School Cadet College and Technical University etc on which Work is already underway on the construction of these departments.
He said that a 250-bed hospital with state-of-the-art facilities would be functional in Welfare City from October 2022 would provide medical care. The school for male and female students would be completed by March 2023, especially for the welfare of eligible children.
He said that besides technical education, modern residential facilities will also be available so that they can continue their education with full dedication. He said that an international standard technical university is also being set up here.
Earlier, Chief Air Marshal (retd) Sohail Aman gave a detailed briefing to the Speaker National Assembly regarding the plans. Earlier, the Speaker National Assembly visited various projects under construction in Alamabad Welfare City and apprised the media representatives of the importance of the project.
