NA Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf says the decade of CPEC ushers into new era of prosperous & developed Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, July 25 (SABAH): National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that Pakistan and China enjoys historic ties based on mutual cooperation in all walks of life. He said that successful completion of CPEC projects usher into new era of regional peace and develop.

He expressed these views during virtual meeting with Zhao Leji Chairman of China’s 14 National People’s Congress Standing committee in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Raja Pervez Ashraf has also resolved that Pakistan would continue to support One China Policy. Furthermore, he appreciated the principle stance of China regarding disputed status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. While highlighting the significance of recent bilateral meetings at different forums, he expressed his desire to establish SCO Parliamentary Forum. He also said that Pakistan fully supports global security initiatives undertaken by China. 

Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that both parliaments enjoy historic friendly cooperation. He said that Pak-China parliamentary Friendship Group would continue to exchange legislative experiences between both countries. He especially expressed gratitude to Pakistan and its government for supporting china especially during the outbreak of pandemic COVID-19. While highlighting significance of CPEC, he said that Pakistan is determined to complete all CPEC projects with transparency and proverbial efficiency.

Ms Romina Khursheed Alam Convener Parliamentary Task force and senior officers of National Assembly Secretariat were also present on the occasion.

Zhao Leji, Chairman of China’s 14 National People’s Congress Standing committee appreciated cooperation extended by Pakistan at every forum. He also assured that China would continue to support Pakistan strategically. He also said that this would cement ties between both countries. He also said that CPEC is a symbol of unbreakable Pak-China friendship. He also said that CPEC would continue to bring positive changes for welfare of both nations.

While narrating the significance of Agricultural development for Pakistan, he said that China would also continue to support Pakistan in Agriculture field. While highlighting the significance of Pakistan in Asia, he said that China would continue to support Pakistan is all walks of life for regional development, peace and stability.  He also emphasised enhancement of cultural exchanges between both nations.

While appreciating the Pakistan’s support and contribution for stable and effective governance, he said that both Pakistan and China would continue to maintain cooperation.
