NA Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf extends warm felicitation to whole nation on its 76th Independence
ISLAMABAD, August 13 (SABAH): Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf has extended warm felicitation to whole nation on its 76th Independence. He said that this day is to remember and honour the sacrifices of our forefathers and pay them a rich and well-deserved tribute. He also renewed national commitment to follow the principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline outlined by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
NA Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf added, “While we engage in the Independence festivities, let us not forget about our brethren in IIOJK, who are imprisoned in an open-jail from the past 4 years and stripped off their right to self-determination and right to freedom.” He also resolved, “On this occasion let us pledge to add more vigour and intensity in our efforts to senstitize the International Community regarding the deprivation of basic human rights, especially self-determination and freedom, of our Kashmiri brethren by the Extremist and Fascist BJP led Government and RSS Ideology”.
While highlighting the significance of democracy and democratic values, Raja Pervez Ashraf said that nation is passing through important junction and with unity and democracy the country would sooner stand amongst developed countries. He also said that Pakistan is blessed with Youth population which is an unmatchable asset for country. He added “This day is a day to reclaim and reassert our sense of Pride and Patriotism.” He also said, “The Crescent Flag and Star reminds the world that our flag is not just a symbol but a rendezvous point where we all stand united.”
