Muslim countries should appeal at int’l level to express solidarity with the Palestinians: National Al-Quds Committee


ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 (SABAH): A delegation of National Al-Quds Committee on Thursday headed by committee’s chairman Raja Mohammad Zafarul Haq held a meeting with High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, Mohammad Azhar Mazlan.

This meeting was conducted to take stock of serious human rights violations being committed by Israel against innocent Palestinians and helping them out the aid assistance. Delegation included Jamaat-e-Islami Director for External Affairs Asif Luqman Qazi, central leader of Wadat-ul-Muslimeen Maulana Muhammad Ameen Shaheedi, Secretary General of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan Tahir Rasheed Tanoli and former ambassador of Pakistan Ayaz Wazir.

During the meeting committee’s chairman Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq appreciated the audacious and courageous viewpoint of the Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr. Anwar Ibrahim which he adopted during his recent visit of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Türkiye.

The delegation stressed upon the need of adopting a strong viewpoint by Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Malaysia and Türkiye. There is need to stop human rights violations being committed by Israel in Gaza in the form of bombardment and brutal killings.

The delegation suggested that governments of six Muslim countries should appeal at international level to express solidarity with Palestinians and pro-justice people as well as governments should show solidarity so that mass killing in Gaza could be stopped.

Malaysian ambassador said that the people as well as the government of Malaysia are on the same page and have same policy regarding supporting Palestinians. He further said that the government of Malaysia has also contacted with the government of Egypt to send the relief items to the affected areas. Malaysian ambassador said that the Malaysian foreign minister would soon visit Pakistan so that advancement could be made to stop mass killings in Gaza.
