Mushaal pledges Kashmiris to take martyrs’ mission to its logical end
ISLAMABAD, July 13 (SABAH): Chairperson Peace and Culture Organisation, Mushaal Hussein Mullick paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of July 13, 1931 on their martyrdom anniversary and urged the world to take tangible and practical steps to resolve Kashmir dispute terming it a constant threat to the regional and world peace.
Mushaal, a wife of incarcerated Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, expressed this view in a statement on the occasion of Kashmir Martyrs’ Day on Thursday, known as Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Kashmir, observed on both sides of the line of control to commemorate and honor the martyrdom of 22 Kashmiris who sacrificed their lives in 1931 while fighting against the oppressive rule of the Dogra rulers in an effort to liberate Kashmir.
The chairperson said that brave Kashmiri people faced the state terrorism of despotic Dogra authority then and now they were facing the fascism of tyrant Narendra Modi in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). However, she vowed that the brutal tactics could not break the resolve of Kashmiri people in their fight for the birth and just right of right to self-determination.
Mushaal highlighted that the supreme sacrifices rendered by 22 Kashmiris against the Dogra regime would always be written with the golden words.
The Hurriyat leader blasted the notorious RSS-inspired government for imposing restrictions in Srinagar to prevent people from paying tributes to their heroes. Mushaal urged the international community and UN bodies to play proactive role to settle Kashmir dispute before it was too late. She expressed alarm that the unresolved Kashmir dispute could trigger third war between Pakistan and India, which would not be conventional but nuclear one, risking regional and international peace and security.”
She went on to say that the Kashmiri people would never forget the sacrifices of their martyrs and would continue to struggle against illegal occupation till freedom from Indian yoke. The chairperson stated that the supremacist Indian government was presenting the silence of graveyard in IIOJK as a victory to court but the ground situation was otherwise as reign of terror was unleashed to stifle the dissenting voices.
Mushaal said that top hurriyat leadership including her husband Yasin Malik was kept in jails and deprived them of all basic, fundamental and legal rights to contest the fabricated and forged cases filed against them.
She said that the virtually the scenic valley was turned into a world largest tortured cell to spread terror among Kahsmiri people to shun their just struggle for right to self-determination. However, Mushaal vowed that all such brutal state terrorism and barbarism would not dampen their courage rather it would further strengthen their resolve to break the shackles of Indian slavery.
Mushaal called upon the global bodies to shun the double-standard and take measures on war-footing basis to ensure a peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people because dream of peace would remain elusive without resolution of Kashmir conflict.
