Mushaal Mullick pays glowing tributes to martyrs of 1965 war
ISLAMABAD, Sep 6 (SABAH): Special Assistant to Pakistan Prime Minister on Human Rights and Women Empowerment, Mushaal Hussein Mullick paid homage to the martyrs and Ghazis of 1965 war, who foiled nefarious designs of the enemy.
Mushaal, wife of a senior incarcerated hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, while speaking at an opening ceremony of a Hockey Match organized here at Shahnaz Sheikh Hockey Stadium in connection with Pakistan Defence Day said that the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir stood with Pakistan to honor the sacrifices rendered by Pakistani soldiers and citizens in defending their motherland against India in 1965.
SAPM recalled that it was on this day in 1965 that the Indian forces crossed international border to attack Pakistan, but Pakistani valiant Armed Forces, backed by entire nation, foiled nefarious designs of the enemy.
She said that Pakistanis commemorated September 6 as a defence day every year to remind the world that the Kashmir dispute was an unfinished agenda of the Pakistan Movement.
SAPM on HR and Women Empowerment said that Kashmir dispute was major bone of contention between Pakistan and India and the relations between the two countries could not become normal without settling this decades-old dispute as per the UN resolutions and aspirations of the people of the occupied valley.
Mushaal said that hockey was Pakistan’s national game and the country produced the world’s best hockey players. She stated that there was a time when the Pakistani hockey team was undefeatable and no team in the world could face it.
She hoped that the national hockey team would soon regain the lost glory in the game. The SAPM on HR and Women Empowerment said that the government would provide all possible support to the hockey team so as to make the Pakistan women hockey team one of best hockey teams in the world.
