Musadiq Malik calls for constructive dialogue to address national issues

LAHORE, Dec 29 (SABAH): Minister for Petroleum Dr Musadiq Malik has called for constructive dialogue to address national issues while keeping it separate from criminal proceedings.

Talking to media in Lahore on Sunday, he said that the agenda of dialogue would not include criminal cases involving PTI’s leadership.

Referring to the allegations against the PTI founder, Musaddiq Malik said, the cases against him are criminal in nature.

Citing to Al Qadir Trust case, he said that as per prosecution, the state resources were misappropriated, and 400-kanal land was taken in the guise of a trust.

About the May-9 events, he said, whether it is the attack on the corps commander’s house, the military tower, or martyrs’ monuments and such crimes have nothing to do with dialogue.

He said trials for these offences will proceed based on evidence. Earlier, addressing the inaugural ceremony of 21st International Pharmacy Conference and Exhibition in Lahore, the Minister said that the digitalization of pharmaceutical sector is underway, making it more transparent.

He said that the country’s economy is progressing in the right direction as the ratio of price hike has lowered considerably.
