Muhammad Hussain Mehanti demands of the caretaker govt of Sindh to promote rule of law in the province

KARACHI, Oct 04, (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sindh chapter Amir Muhammad Hussain Mehanti has demanded of the caretaker government of Sindh to promote rule of law in the province.

As per details, a delegation of JI Sindh led by Mehanti called on Sindh law minister Muhammad Omar Soomro at his office and discusses the law and order issue in the province with him.

Muhammad Hussain Mehanti expressed concern over the growing incidents of kidnapping for ransom, tribal clashes, delay of cases in courts and overall lawlessness.  He raised the issue of crimes against girls and women and demanded that the killers of Fatima Furiro, Nazia Channa and Haseena Khoso should be arrested at the earliest. He asked for police reforms and ending corruption in lower judiciary, besides improving condition of lower courts. He demanded to end growing street crimes in the province.

Law minister Muhammad Omar Soomro on the occasion said that Islam gives stress on rule of law and justice. He said those nations get progress and prosperity that establish a law abiding society. He assured of taking steps of legal reforms and others measures to improve law and order in Sindh province.

JI Sindh General Secretary Kashif Saeed Sheikh, Information Secretary Mujahid Channa, Islamic Lawyers Movement (ILM) Sindh General Secretary Najamul Hassan and Karachi chapter President Shahid Ali were also present.

The delegation presented their suggestions in writing and gift of Islamic books to the law minister.
