Muhammad Azam Khan’s statement of 161 in cypher issue has been recorded

ISLAMABAD, Aug 20 (SABAH): Principal Secretary to the former prime minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan, Muhammad Azam Khan’s statement of 161 in cypher issue has been recorded.

Former principal secretary Azam Khan revealed facts about the cypher after Toshakhana case. His statement was recorded on Wednesday.

After statement of Azam Khan, Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Terrorism Wing had begun arrests mentioned in the First Information Report (FIR) under the Official Secret Act. Investigation had to be done on the issue of role of Asad Umar and Azam Khan mentioned in the FIR registered under Official Secret Act.

According to FIA, former foreign minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s arrest was made on August 15 in a case of cypher missing registered in FIA’s Anti-Terrorism Wing Islamabad. FIA registered case of cypher missing under Official Secret Act 5,6- 1923 and Section 34 which Chairman PTI, former minister for foreign affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi and others were nominated as the accused.
