Muhammad Afzal Guru embraced martyrdom with judicial murder of Indian court: Syed Salahuddin

MUZAFFARABAD, Feb 09 (SABAH): Hizbul Mujahideen chief and United Jihad Council Chairman Syed Salahuddin Ahmed on Thursday said that Muhammad Afzal Guru embraced martyrdom through the judicial murder of Indian court on Feb 09, 2013.

Addressing a special meeting of United Jihad Council, Syed Salahuddin said that late Muhammad Afzal Guru always stood in favour of ‘what was right and justified’. He faced death sentence due to the crimes he had never committed and embraced martyrdom. He further said the late Afzal unmasked the so-called justice being done by the Indian courts.

He said, “History witnessed he was sentenced to death in a case of attack on the Indian Parliament which was made public as well. After his judicial murder his dead body was not handed over to his heirs but buried in the yard of Tihar jail which is a crystal-clear violation of human rights.”

Hizbul Mujahideen chief said that Muhammad Afzal Guru will remain alive for ever; however, the powers hell-bent upon oppression cannot last for always and added his martyrdom will keep on haunting the barbaric powers. He said God-willing a day will certainly come when blood of millions of people will bear fruit in the form of freedom for occupied valley.

In the meeting, all the participants prayed for his higher status in heaven and reiterated their resolve that efforts for achieving freedom for Kashmiris will be continued at all fronts until and unless they bear fruits.
