MNA Sheikh Aftab distributes Himmat cards to eligible individuals
ATTOCK, Nov 21 (SABAH): Member of the National Assembly and Convener of the District Coordination Committee Sheikh Aftab Ahmed has said that measures are being taken for the welfare of special persons under the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab.
For the first time in history, stipends have been issued for special persons on a permanent basis. It’s a testament to the government’s commitment to ensuring dignity and equality for all.
Sheikh Aftab Ahmed participated as a Chief Guest in the ceremony of distribution of courage cards to the disabled under the program of the Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz in Attock and distributed Rs10,500 cash and courage cards to the disabled people.
Addressing the gathering, MNA Sheikh Aftab Ahmed praised the initiative, calling it a compassionate and exemplary step by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. “The programmed marks a historical milestone for Punjab, as it’s the first time disabled individuals are being provided direct financial support.
The Punjab Chief minister’s “Himmat Card” distribution process has been started to provide financial assistance to differently-abled persons here in Attock. The programmed designed to empower and uplift the disabled community, will offer quarterly financial aid of Rs10,500 to registered beneficiaries.
The Himmat Card distribution event was attended by notable community figures, Deputy Director Social Welfare Arif Siddiqui, District Information Secretary Muslim League(N) Dr. Mian Rashid Mushtaq, former Vice Chairman Malik Muhammad Naeem, Iftikhar Awan, Sajjad Khan and others were also present on the occasion.
Sheikh Aftab has said that the distribution of stipends had been made possible among the deserving people without harming their self-esteem with the launch of the special program of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He said that the Chief Minister government has taken historic initiatives like “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” and “Himmat Card” in a short span.
Member of the National Assembly said that for the first time in history, stipends have been issued for special persons on a permanent basis. He said that the scheme has been made transparent and door-to-door verification was done and all work was completed without special persons visiting any office. He said that the PML-N government is fully aware of the problems of people due to inflation, for which they are working day and night.
