Milli Yakjehti Council elects Sahibzada Dr. Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair as President & Liaqat Baloch as Secretary General for next three years
LAHORE, Oct 23 (SABAH): The Milli Yakjehti Council has elected Sahibzada Dr. Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair as its President and Liaqat Baloch Secretary General for the next three years.
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman also participated in the Milli Yakjehti Council meeting.
After the meeting, newly elected President and Secretary General Liaqat Baloch held a press conference along with other leaders. Liaqat Baloch said that Milli Yakjehti Council has elected Sahibzada Dr. Abulkhair Muhammad Zubair as its President and him as Secretary General for the next three years.
Representatives of 21 religious parties participated in the meeting of the Supreme Council of Milli Yakjehti Council. The parties included in the Milli Yakjehti Council will jointly organize programs to express solidarity with the oppressed Muslims of Kashmir and Palestine. He said that a committee of the Milli Yakjehti Council will be formed which will communicate with the parties outside the Council.
On this occasion, the newly elected president of the Milli Yakjehti Council, Sahibzada Abu Al Khair Muhammad Zubair, said that the Milli Yekjehti Council was formed to establish peace and order in the country and eliminate sectarianism. He said unfortunately, sectarianism is being promoted day by day, adding so far the government has failed to arrest such characters. He said they pay tribute to Supreme Court’s decision in Mubarak Sani case.
He demanded that the government should take action against those who break into the Finality of Prophethood. He said that in the 26th Constitutional Amendment, it has been said that till 2028, the usury will be abolished. He said that the government should give roadmap in this regard.
He said that the atrocities of Israel on Palestine were strongly condemned in the meeting. He said that the mountains of oppression are being continuously fallen in Palestine, on which the silence of the leaders of our Muslim countries is sad.
Sahibzada Abu Al Khair Muhammad Zubair said that our demand is to call a conference of Islamic countries on the issue of Palestine, how long will this oppression continue. How long will the blood of Muslims continue to flow, he questioned.
