Milli Yakjehti Council delegation headed by Liaqat Baloch meets Iranian Ambassador Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini


ISLAMABAD, Dec 14, (SABAH): A delegation of the central leadership of Milli Yakjehti Council headed by Liaqat Baloch, Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Secretary-General Milli Yakjehti Council called on the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini.

During exchange of views on Pak-Iran brotherly relations, the delegation said that Pak-Iran relations are very deep and strong on the basis of Islamic/religious neighborliness; any colonialist, arrogant attempt to break these relations will fail. The Islamic Revolution in Iran under the leadership of Imam Khomeini is still stable and deeply rooted in the eternal and golden principles of Islam. The first 8 years after the Islamic revolution in Iran were dominated by conspiracies and wars. The people of Iran successfully resisted then and even today the Iranian leadership and people will defeat every foreign conspiracy.

The delegation comprised Khawaja Moinuddin Mehboob Koreija, Hafiz Abdul Ghaffar Roprhi, Syed Nasir Shirazi, Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi, Abdullah Gul, Allama Syed Saqib Akbar, Pir Abdul Shakur Naqshbandi, Dr. Tariq Saleem, Mufti Gulzar Naeemi, Syed Arif Shirazi, Pir Safdar Gilani.

A detailed discussion took place on mutual relations, unity of the Islamic world, conspiracies of anti-Islamic forces against Muslims and Pak-Iran economic relations. The Ambassador of Iran arranged a banquet in honor of the delegation. Senior diplomats of the embassy were also present.

Head of the delegation Liaqat Baloch said that the strong and stable brotherly relations among Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan in the region can defeat all the conspiracies of unrest, terrorism and instability. Restoring the same brotherly relationship between Saudi Arabia and Iran is the desire of the entire Islamic world. A joint action plan of the three countries is indispensable for defeating the terrorist Daesh under the auspices of the US. The Iranian stand for solidarity and independence for the people of Kashmir and Palestine is bold and encouraging. The unity of the Islamic world and common economic strategy is the most important need of the hour to solve economic crises and recession.

The Iranian ambassador said that the recent unrest in Iran is a deliberate plan. Iranian women are the strong pillar of Iranian development with hijab and sanctity. There have been five rounds of negotiations to restore and strengthen Iran-Saudi Arabia relations. The sixth round is being hosted by Iraq. The people of Yemen and Syria should talk mutually to end the war in Yemen and Syria. Iran is still hosting five million Afghan refugees. Efforts at the diplomatic, public and scholarly levels will be very helpful to further strengthen relations among Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
