Miftah Ismail welcomes proposals of Qatar Investments Authority in various fields in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Sep 07 (SABAH): Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Dr. Miftah Ismail Ahmed held a virtual meeting with Sheikh Faisal bin Thani al Thani, CIO – Africa & APAC, CEO Qatar Investment Authority on Wednesday.

Federal Minister for Privatization/ Chairman Privatization Commission Abid Hussain Bhayo, Coordinator to PM on economy Bilal Azhar Kiyani and other senior officers attended the meeting.

The Finance Minister welcomed the CEO Qatar Investment Authority and highlighted about the potential investment avenues available in Pakistan. The Finance Minister shared that present government of Pakistan is undertaking a number of structural reforms for facilitating the foreign investment in Pakistan. CEO Qatar Investment Authority Sheikh Faisal bin Thani al-Thani shared good sentiment with Finance Minister of Pakistan and also showed keen interest for investment in different sectors in Pakistan especially in energy, airport infrastructures, etc.

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail welcomed the proposals of Qatar Investments Authority in various fields in Pakistan and assured them of full cooperation and facilitation for their investments in Pakistan.
