Mehmood Saghar strongly condemns martyrdom of 11 Kashmiri youth in various fake & fabricated military operations in IoK

ISLAMABAD, June 21 (SABAH): Convener All Parties Hurriyet Conference (Azad Kashmir Chapter), Mehmood Ahmed Saghar has strongly condemned the martyrdom of 11 Kashmiri youth in various fake and fabricated military operations in Indian occupied Kashmir. In a statement issued on Tuesday, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar warned India that no matter how much military force you use in Kashmir, it will prove to be a meaningless act. If you think that a gun or an army barracks can quench our thirst for freedom, then perhaps you are still seeing yourself in the illegal occupation of the East India Company. The wars of independence have never been suppressed by military force and cannot be suppressed in Jammu and Kashmir.

He further said that India is continuing massacre of new generation of Kashmiris in the name of armed clashes. Showkat Ahmed martyred in Kupwara fake encounter is a proof of fake clashes, who was claimed to have arrested by SSP Shopian police in an FIR during a press conference on June 7, 2022.

Mahmood Sagar also condemned the brutal behavior of the Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police and said that on the one hand, Jammu and Kashmir Police were using loudspeakers installed on their vehicles on the roads and saying that the police is for the protection of Kashmiri people. On the other hand, they are harassing Kashmiri children, elders and women in their SOG camps. He warned the Jammu and Kashmir Police to stop harassing the Kashmiri people, and stop abusing the families of those involved in the resistance movement by calling them to the police stations. In Jammu and Kashmir Police Cargo Center in Srinagar elders, youth and even women are being threatened to be killed in violence and fake encounters.

Mahmood Sagar saluted the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their dedication from last 75 years in general, since August 5, 2019, the mountains of oppression have been broken on the Kashmiri people in particular, but the people are sacrificing their lives, property and innocence like a leaden wall. Mehmood Saghar reiterated that the Hurriyat leadership has been organized across the country, standing by the side of its people and they will continue their struggle till independence.

Mahmood Sagar, while appealing to the OIC countries and international human rights activists, said that the human rights situation in Kashmir was worse than in Syria, Yemen and Ukraine and it is time that these institutionstake Kashmir dispute seriously. We need to draw attention to this and not only take notice of these violations but also take practical steps to stop human rights violations by putting pressure on India. He also appealed to the delegates of United Nation to pay attention to Kashmir cause.
