Medcon 2024 to be organized on Sep 7 at Expo Center Lahore in collaboration with Alkhidmat Foundation & PIMA

LAHORE, Sep 5 (SABAH): Medcon 2024 will be organized on September 7 in Expo center Lahore in collaboration with Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and Pakistan Islamic Medical Association.

Challenges faced in Pakistan’s health care system, strategy and paying tributes to position holders from across Punjab in the field of medicine who have demonstrated outstanding performance are among the objectives of the mega event. Along with this, the program also includes holding of sessions related to public health system and digital health.

A press conference was held at the head office of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan regarding the preparations of Medcon in which Alkhidmat Foundation Health Services Chairman Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zahid Latif, CEO Sufyan Ahmed Khan, Alkhidmat Foundation Lahore Region Secretary General Prof. Dr. Ejaz Nazir and Senior Manager Media Relations Shoaib Hashmi participated. Prof. Dr. Zahid Latif while giving a briefing said that prominent personalities of the country will express their views in different sessions of Medcon 2024.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeemur Rehman will shed light on the challenges and needs of the healthcare system, and providing an enabling environment for the youth to flourish. In an important session related to digital health and the situation in Gaza-Palestine, President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, will express his thoughts on the humanitarian crisis, the challenges and needs, the effective role of Alkhidmat and PIMA in Gaza and future plans.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Zahid Latif said, Medcon 2024 will be attended by more than 1,000 male and female students, including vice chancellors and medical faculty members of various universities across Punjab.

On this occasion, the position holders and students with outstanding performance will be awarded with medals, prizes and certificates of appreciation. While the prominent doctors and health professionals of the country will also give lectures to the students regarding the professional skills of the health sector, medical code of conduct and various medical guidelines.

He said the delegation of the World Health Organization will also participate in “Medcon 2024”. He said that this is going to be a unique program of its kind in which the doctors who are part of the medical profession will leave with hope and courage.
