Maulana Fazlur Rehman meets with Hamas leaders Khalid Mashaal & Ismail Haniya in Doha
DOHA, Nov 05 (SABAH): Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Ameer Maulana Fazlur Rehman met with Hamas leaders Khalid Mashaal and Ismail Haniya.
According to the statement issued by JUI-F Spokesperson Aslam Ghauri, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, along with a delegation, arrived in Qatar on Saturday. The leaders discussed the Palestine issue in detail.
During the meeting with Hamas leaders, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Israel is attempting to change the status quo in Palestine through oppression and injustice, trying to alter the status of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
During the meeting Ismail Haniya said that it is the duty of the Muslim Ummah to unite against Israeli injustices, adding that the countries advocating for human rights are sailing ships filled with weapons to Tel Aviv-Yafo. Ismail Haniya said that the Muslim Ummah should be in the field to support their Palestinian brothers, helping their mothers, sisters, and brothers.
During the meeting Khalid Mashaal said that Kashmir and Palestine have long been a litmus test for advocates of human rights.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that advocates of developed countries have blood-stained hands of innocent children and women. He said that Palestinians are not only fighting for their land but also waging a battle for the freedom of Al-Aqsa, fulfilling the duty of the Muslim Ummah. He said that the time has come for the Muslim Ummah to stand shoulder to shoulder with Palestinian brothers in the field.
Khalid Mashaal abd Ismail Haniya said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is playing the role of Pakistan’s ambassador to Palestine.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman prayed for the high ranks of the martyrs and the quick recovery of the wounded.
In the meeting, Secretary-General JUI_F Sindh Maulana Rashid Mahmood Soomro and Mufti Abrar Ahmed were also present.
