Maulana Fazlur Rehman demands of making Pak-Afghan commission on matters of Afghan migrants
ISLAMABAD, Nov 9 (SABAH): Ameer Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman has demanded of making Pak-Afghan commission on the matters of Afghan migrants. He said that Afghanistan belongs to Afghans and added at last they had to leave from here one day. JUI-F chief said they have not made such a migration that they have been deprived of their rights in Afghanistan.
In a video statement, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said they have put forth a suggestion before the policy makers that this issue is resolved while forming a commission so that decision should be done on behalf of both sides. He said one-sided decisions would further deteriorate the situation.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman further said that Afghanistan has taken a decree from their own religious scholars that any armed action could not be termed as jihad in Pakistan.
He said that Afghans are being forced to leave Pakistan and added were they not illegal in past as issue is somewhere else while other circles are victimized; however, these are decisions of the State and we could not do anything in this regard.
“Parvez Musharraf, the former army chief and president had also took a decision and then he implemented it but it remained a futile effort. What the US gained from Afghanistan. At last the US had to leave disgracefully,” he remarked.
Then the US attacked Iraq and it damaged the country to a larger extent and afterwards it said that the information on the basis of which the country was attacked were not true, he said. Has the US right to attack somewhere on the name of protection of human rights where it wishes, he questioned and added if there would be injustices then peace could not be established.
“Similarly issue of migrants is both sided. They could also be departed with solace. If they were accommodated and given relief for 40 years, they could also be departed with peace which is why it is two sided issue and must have been resolved seriously,” he said.
He said that Afghanistan belongs to Afghans and added they have not made such a migration that they have been deprived of their rights in Afghanistan. They could not be deprived of their rights.
