Masood Khan meets with two members of Congress, discuss development of Pakistan-US relations
ISLAMABAD, June 5 (SABAH): Pakistani Ambassador Masood Khan has met with two members of Congress and discussed the development of Pakistan-US relations. He met Congressman Jake La Turner who is member House Committees on Appropriations and Oversight.
They discussed the development of Pakistan-US relations in the fields of trade, investment, renewable energy, climate change, minerals, education as well as security cooperation, counter-terrorism and defense.Masood Khan also invited him to visit Pakistan to meet parliamentarians and political leadership.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to the United Statesalso met with the member of Congressman Mike Turner. Mike Turner is ChairmanHouse Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.There was a discussion regarding further strengthening Pakistan-US cooperation in the fields of defense, security and counter-terrorism. They agreed to continue engagement for diversifying their broad-based relationship.
