Maryam Nawaz condemns efforts of Imran Khan to drag the institutions in politics
ISLAMABAD, June 09 (SABAH): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that government is working day and night to improve economic situation of the country.
Talking to media persons after appearing before the Islamabad High Court in Avenfield Apartments case, Maryam Nawaz said that Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is well aware of the problems being faced by the public but blamed previous government for the prolonged power outages.
Maryam Nawaz said that Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had handed over load shedding free Pakistan to Imran Kahn in 2018 but now Imran Khan in 2022 has handed over Pakistan to Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif with electricity loadshedding of five to 10 hours. She said that the new government instead of complaining is taking practical steps to resolve the crisis. We are removing the landmines laid down by Imran Khan, she added.
Reacting to a statement of former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed about Imran Khan having prior knowledge of the no-confidence motion against him, PML-N vice president said that if former premier knew about the motion why did he made false claims of letter and foreign conspiracy behind his ouster. Agenda of spreading anarchy and unrest should be encouraged, she added.
Maryam Nawaz said that if Shehbaz Sharif and PML-N could not improve the matters of the country then who will do this, adding that the PML-N has done, is doing and will do this work. She said that Shehbaz Sharif is making efforts to provide cheap flour and relief to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but KP government is providing relief to Imran Khan. She said that the name of Bani Gala should be Money Gala, adding that whole relief is going in Money Gala. She said that the whole money which was going to Bani Gala was the money of tax payers of whole Pakistan, which was given in bribery.
Maryam Nawaz said that she was in favor of securing fresh mandate but when Imran Khan announced to attack Islamabad with protest demonstration and wanted to take decision through force and threats, adding that then the whole PML-N including Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif stood in front of this plan and decided that we will not handover this country to any group, terrorists and those who want to create unrest in the country. Maryam Nawaz condemned the efforts of Imran Khan to drag the institutions in politics, adding that this process should come to an end, adding that every institution should be allowed to perform its work and government should perform its own work. Maryam Nawaz said that it is our effort that we should complete this term and then go into the next election.
Maryam Nawaz said that if anyone has committed wrong he or she should be held answerable and should be held accountable. She said that the previous government during its four years tenure continued to tell the people inflation as progress and now they have realized in only one month that the inflation is not progress but it is destruction.
Maryam Nawaz said that we will stand with the masses in difficult time as we have realization of the problems faced by the masses.
