Martyrs who offered their blood, sweat & tears for noble cause occupy a special place in our hearts: Mehmood Ahmad Saghar

ISLAMABAD, July 07 (SABAH): Acting Chairman Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, while paying tributes to Shaheed Burhan Muzaffar Wani and his associates on their martyrdom anniversary, has said that the supreme sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiri martyrs would continue to inspire the Kashmir’s incoming generations.

“The martyrs who offered their blood, sweat and tears for the noble cause occupy a special place in our hearts”, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar in a statement issued on Sunday said, adding that it were the sacrifices of these martyrs that brought Kashmir issue out of the cold store and put it at the center stage at global level.

Hailing Burhan’s role in imbuing a new spirit in the ongoing resistance movement, the DFP leader said that Shaheed Burhan not only rejuvenated the freedom movement but also fortified masses’ faith in their ability to achieve the cherished goal of freedom from India’s occupation.

Reiterating his commitment to uphold the martyrs’ mission, he said the valiant people of Kashmir won’t let anyone to betray these sacrifices.

“The ongoing liberation struggle will continue till the dawn of freedom”, he said, adding the armed struggle would cease to exist once the Indian government shuns its traditional policy of intransigence and agrees to resolve the Kashmir dispute in line with the UNSC resolutions.

Regarding the Indian government’s propaganda about so-called normalcy and development in Kashmir, Saghar said that New Delhi has always used its media as a tool to peddle its baseless propaganda to mislead the international community on Kashmir.

Saghar, while urging the international community to take stock of the worsening situation in the Indian occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir, said that it was high time that the world community must shun its policy of indifference towards Kashmir and stop looking Kashmir through the Indian prism.

“Kashmir issue is a political dispute that needs to be resolved through peaceful means of dialogue and diplomacy”, he added.
