Marriyum Aurangzeb says she was happy to announce Rs 1 biln health insurance in budget for the working journalists
ISLAMABAD, June 9 (SABAH): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that she was happy to announce Rs 1 billion health insurance in the budget first time for the working journalists.
In a statement issued on twitter on Friday, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that she was happy to announce that first time grant for the health insurance of the working journalists has been allocated. While presenting the financial year 2023-24 budget in the National Assembly on Friday Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar announced health insurance card for the working journalists.
Marriyum Aurangzeb thanked Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar for this step, adding that it was included in her top priorities to provide this facility to the working journalists especially in the hour of need.
Meanwhile in a separate tweet Marriyum Aurangzeb said that she was equally delighted to announce that funds have been allocated both for the Film Finance Fund and for Artists’ Health Insurance for the first time ever. Rs 2 billion have been allocated for the Film Finance Fund and Rs 1 billion for the Artists’ Health Insurance.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that she was certain that, jointly, these measures will play a major role in the growth of our film industry and improvement in the welfare of our nation’s Artists. This will play a key role in the promotion of Pakistan’s narrative, heritage and culture through films, as well as the growth of screen tourism in Pakistan.
