Maehmood Saghar denounces attachment of properties of Hurriyat leaders by Indian ED

ISLAMABAD, Jan 20 (SABAH): The convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan chapter and acting chairman Democratic Freedom Party, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar has strongly condemned the attachment of properties of Hurriyat leaders by Indian Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Terming the ED authorities’ action as part of the Modi government’s broader campaign to crush the legitimate political voices in Kashmir, the APHC convener said that confiscation of the properties of Hurriyat leaders and activists has now become a new tool for the Indian occupation authorities to terrorize Kashmiris who have refused to follow the fascist regime’s diktats.

Mehmood Ahmed Saghar said that the attachment of properties of Hurriyat leaders including Zafar Akbar Bhat, Qazi Yasir and others by the Indian notorious agency-the ED was an attempt to dent the public image of the Hurriyat leaders.

Such mean tactics, he said, cannot deter Kashmiris from pursing their noble cause for which they have offered unprecedented sacrifices.

Reiterating Kashmiris’ pledge to carry forward the mission of martyrs, he said that the policy of oppression and suppression won’t help India any longer to hold Kashmiris hostage.
