Liaqat Baloch urges political parties to abstain from obstinacy to sort out political solution to country’s prevailing issues


LAHORE, May 24 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami and Secretary General Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC), Liaqat Baloch has urged political parties to abstain from obstinacy to sort out political solution to country’s prevailing issues.

While addressing a consultative meeting on political, electoral and national issues at Mansoorah on Wednesday, Liaqat Baloch said that it was responsibility of political parties as well as leadership to shun from ego, obstinacy, rigidness for ensuring elections in 2023 while sorting out political issues through political solution.

He also held a meeting with Chairman Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan (MWM) Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri and Secretary General Nasir Sherazi and discussed the current situation of the country as well as affairs of Mili Yakjehti Council.

Liaqat Baloch said that Jamaat-e-Islami will continue its struggle for safety of Islamic constitution, holding elections throughout the country on the same day and putting an end to the political confrontation. “We believe Pakistan came into existence for becoming a laboratory of Islamic System,”

He added, “Pakistan’s development and strength depends on the supremacy of constitution and abiding by Islamic democratic norms. The current leadership which is occupying the country’s political, economic and administrative life is unsuccessful. People are dis-satisfied with them. They are disturbed and want to get rid of them.”

Liaqat Baloch held meeting with family members of missing persons as well as incarcerated workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and shared with them the current situation of the country. He further said obeying law by a layman as well as state institutions is a same thing and added country’s 75 years history witnessed when a single individual, party or the state adopted illegal ways, it caused loss for each and everyone. He urged that the imprisoned workers must be dealt in the light of constitution and law and demanded release of arrested innocent workers.
