Liaqat Baloch meets with Ahsan Iqbal, agree to summon meeting of the negotiation teams soon to implement the sit-in agreement

LAHORE August 19 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami and former parliamentary leader Liaqat Baloch met Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry. It was agreed to summon the meeting of the negotiation teams of Jamaat-s-Islami and Federal Government soon.

In a meeting of Liaqat Baloch and Federal Minister and Secretary General of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Ahsan Iqbal, it was decided that the negotiation teams of Jamaat-e-Islami and Federal Ministers will meet soon to review the implementation of the agreement reached on the occasion of the sit-in.

Liaqat Baloch said that there are 37 days left in the 45-day period, adding the traders, industrialists and consumers across the country are observing nationwide shutter down stroke on August 28, 2024. The caravan will head towards Islamabad in the form of a long march, the entire responsibility of this situation will be on the government.

Liaqat Baloch while talking to journalists said that the political crisis is getting worse, adding the Punjab government has announced a reduction in electricity price by Rs 14 per unit, other provinces should also follow this and this relief is not temporary but on a permanent basis.

He said the people have the right to pay the actual price of petrol and electricity, adding if real relief is to be given to the people, then the tax burden on the salaried class should be reduced, illegal restrictions on traders and exporters should be removed.

He said the feudal lords should be brought into the tax net and the luxury of the aristocracy should be abolished. Liaqat Baloch while addressing the political consultation meeting in Mansoorah and Lahore said that India is intensifying Islamophobia in India with false propaganda about Bangladesh to avenge its failure and humiliation in Bangladesh.

Liaqat Baloch said that Fascist Modi wants to avenge the defeat in the elections by imposing it on the Indian Muslims, now it has become clear that no country in the world tolerates the domination of America or any other global colonial power, India also interferes in the countries of South Asia and it should stop this.
