Liaqat Baloch expresses sorrow & grief over the martyrdom of military personnel & officers

LAHORE, Dec 2 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami and Secretary-General of Milli Yakjehti Council, Liaqat Baloch, expressed sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of military personnel and officers. He stated that the elimination of terrorism is essential for national security and that the entire nation agrees on this.

In a meeting with a delegation of overseas Pakistanis on Monday, Liaqat Baloch said that their capital, investments, and democratic rights should be protected. He urged the government to end the unjust restrictions and corruption faced by overseas Pakistanis.

Liaqat Baloch questioned why the terrorist network has become so active and why the National Action Plan is failing. He emphasized the need for a renewed consensus on the National Action Plan to protect the lives, property, and dignity of citizens. The gap between the government and the civil-military establishment is growing, which is a warning sign for the country.

After meeting with Shia and Sunni sects religious scholars of Parachinar, Liaqat Baloch emphasized the need for the federal and provincial governments to take immediate action to restore peace in Parachinar.

He praised the efforts of the KP governor in announcing a grand jirga in Kohat and an APC in Peshawar, as well as the previous efforts of the KP chief minister in organizing a Kurram peace jirga in Kohat. However, he stressed that without a joint plan of action from the federal and provincial governments, the results will not be sustainable.

Liaqat Baloch also appealed to Sunni and Shia scholars to provide names of credible individuals who can work with a national delegation to improve the situation. The entire nation is concerned about the situation in Kurram, Sadda, and Parachinar.

Furthermore, Liaqat Baloch stated that the economic crisis, instability, debt burden, and corruption are worsening due to the rulers’ extravagance and privileges as well as perks and privilege s of government civil and military and judicial set-up.

If the actual prices of electricity, gas, and petrol are collected from consumers, trade, agriculture, and industry will flourish, and exports will help the national economy recover from crises, he said and added otherwise, artificial government measures will only increase people’s problems.

In a separate meeting with a Pakistani-American, Liaqat Baloch was advised not to have high expectations from the upcoming Trump administration in the United States as his team would consist of Indian-Americans and Zeonists.
