LAHORE, May 30 (SABAH): Liaqat Baloch, Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and President of Central Standing Committee on Political and Electoral Affairs has described the great success of “Haq Do Gwadar Ko” movement under the leadership of Maulana Hidayatur Rehman in Gwadar and congratulated Hafiz Naeemur Rehman on the epoch-making successful “Haq Do Caravan” in Karachi under his leadership, and said that Gwadar and Karachi have become role models of public awareness, perseverance in the face of oppression. It will be the source of awakening and blessed Islamic revolution in the whole country. The power of vote in Karachi too will end the darkness and oppression of Karachi.
Addressing the concluding session of the two-day Workers Training Workshop of Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad, Liaqat Baloch said that the interim, weakest, dissenting coalition government was making long-term and permanent decisions. These measures will lead to more instability. The main task of the coalition government under the leadership of Mian Shahbaz Sharif is to carry out electoral reforms, end the legislation that contradicts the Qur’an and Sunnah and the constitution of Imran Khan government and get rid of the worst conditions with the IMF, step forward in the light of the Federal Shariat Court’s decision regarding elimination of riba (interest) to self-reliance, national resources and the confidence of Pakistanis abroad. The government is not making any progress in this direction yet.
Liaqat Baloch said that modern media is being misused at the political, journalistic, governmental, state and social levels. Mental, intellectual confusion, distrust, uncertainty is growing. Audios, videos are used to spread political vengeance, political extremism and lies should be subjected to forensic testing. Let the reality come before the nation, let the national leadership get into senses, let it not be deliberately blinded for the sake of political interests.
Liaqat Baloch said that the new mandate based on electoral reforms, accountability of all and credible, transparent, impartial elections is the demand of the entire nation. The coalition government is creating new conflicts with unilateral measures. National consensus is essential for national priorities, national dialogue on national security and overcoming the economic crisis.
