LHC Justice Ali Baqar Najafi orders DC Lahore to report in detail & reply on a petition filed against detention of Khadijah Shah

LAHORE, Nov 21 (SABAH): Lahore High Court (LHC) on a petition filed against detention of Khadijah Shah has issued a detailed written order.

Jehanzeb Amin, husband of Khadijah Shah, a supporter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had challenged his wife’s detention order in the Lahore High Court.

The federal government and the Lahore deputy commissioner were made parties in the case. Justice Ali Baqar Najafi issued this detailed written order. In the detailed written order, it was stated that Shah was placed under house arrest by the DC on the pretext that she could create law and order situation. She has been detained for 30 days under Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) 3.

According to petitioner, DC Lahore ordered the detention on the report of Intelligence Committee. According to petitioner Khadijah Shah’s bail has been approved in two cases. DC has been issued notice to report in detail and reply.

According to Lahore High Court’s written order, deputy commissioner has been ordered to submit detailed report and reply on Wednesday (tomorrow).
