Leading Chinese, Pakistani artistic works displayed at ‘Star Moon Road, Contemporary Art Exchange Exhibition,’ Islamabad Art Gallery, F-9
ISLAMABAD, June 06 (SABAH): Star Moon Road, Contemporary Art Exchange Exhibition is a joint art exhibition of the works of Chinese and Pakistani artists’ works. The exhibition also celebrates the 10th anniversary of Belt and Road Initiative and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
There were over 120 art pieces by leading Chinese and Pakistani artists organised by Islamabad Art Gallery, F-9 in collaboration with Hunerkada and University of Education here on Monday.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives who while appreciating the works of Chinese and Pakistani artists, said that art and culture being the most effective vehicle for engagement and change should be given a priority in further cementing the exemplary friendship between China and Pakistan as it would bring people of the friendly countries closer to each other.
He further said that the exchange of ideas through art and culture can also energize our creative economy and play an important part in bringing about peace, progress and harmony in the region.
Jamal Shah said that our two countries are the proud custodians of enviable cultures and our relationship goes back hundred of years. “We share many common elements in our arts and crafts, music and theatre with China and similarly in the rapidly changing technological world, there is a lot we can learn from the Chinese experience and achievements in the realm of Cinema and others. Therefore our cultural Institutions should accelerate exchanges in all the relevant fields,” he concluded.
