Khawaja Asif says he was not optimistic about the success of negotiations b/w govt & PTI on the issue of holding elections

SIALKOT, April 30 (SABAH): Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said all institutions of the country should work in their domain. Khawaja Asif said that he was not optimistic about the success of negotiations between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on the issue of holding elections, adding that whatever Imran Khan could do he should do as all his steps were failed during the last one year.

Speaking at a press conference in Sialkot on Sunday, Khawaja Asif said that the Judiciary has no mandate to pressure political parties to hold talks.

He said that former Chief Justice is offering legal advice to the PML-N opponents which is against the dignity the office he held in past.

The Defence Minister said that PTI politically victimized PML-N leadership during its four year term and use institutions to pressurize political opponents. He said PTI’s selling of tickets, audio leaks should be investigated. He said that the telephonic conversation of former chief justice Mian Saqib Nisar’s son Najam Saqib while selling PTI tickets for Rs 12 million has been surfaced. He said that whatever was done by Saqib Nisar with Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif while remaining in judiciary, all the proofs have surfaced.

Khawaja Asif said that not only the family of Saqib Nisar has been exposed but PTI itself has been exposed for selling party tickets. He said that the rates of the PTI tickets have been fixed.

Khawaja Asif said that the people who dissolved Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkwa assemblies now are submitting application for restoration of assemblies.

Khawaja Asif said that the parliament has given clear stance regarding the ongoing war in judiciary. He said that 180 members of the National Assembly have reposed confidence in Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

He said that one dollar was purchased in Rs 300 for transferring in Spain. He said that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi had stated that the General Bajwa was used to change the nappies of Imran Khan daily. He said that the dacoits of whole world have gathered under the flag of PTI and leadership of Imran Khan. He said that the conspiracies will not succeed. He said that Imran Khan collected 250 to 300 million from Sialkot while selling tickets.

Khawaja Asif said that Imran Khan reversed all the things which were announced by him during the last one year, adding that Wazirabad long march was also carried out by Imran Khan on someone else’s instructions, adding that all the decisions taken by Imran Khan were failed and benefited us. 

He said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project was destroyed while following a plan.
