Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan was a dream of Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas: Ghulam Muhammad Safi
ISLAMABAD, Dec 18 (SABAH): The Convener of Azad Jammu and Kashmir branch of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, has paid homage to Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas on his 57th anniversary for his role and sacrifices in Kashmir Azadi Movement.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi said in a statement issued in Islamabad that Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas was a great leader of the Kashmir Liberation Movement and a sincere soldier of Pakistan. The accession of the state of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan was a dream of Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas so he fought till his last breath for the realization of this dream.
He said that Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas was a characterful, practical and principled politician, as well as a noble personality and a great person who had a great sympathies for the Muslim Ummah. “Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas made countless sacrifices for the freedom of Kashmir. He was also arrested several times during the Dogra regime,” Ghulam Muhammad Safi added.
He said that from the early days of his youth, made great efforts to free the Muslims of the subcontinent in general and Kashmiri Muslims in particular from the oppression of the British and then the Dogars. Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas will always be remembered as a shining star of Kashmir’s freedom movement, he remarked.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi said that the best way to pay homage to Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas is that we all continue to make every possible effort to complete his unfinished mission.
