Kashmiris will never fall into Modi’s cunning trap: Ali Raza Syed
BRUSSELS, March 08 (SABAH): Chairman Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU) Ali Raza Syed has said, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to trap Kashmiris in his deceitful political net but they will never fall in this cunning trap.
In a statement on Modi’s recent visit to Srinagar, Ali Raza Syed said, Kashmiris know that on the one hand Modi government wants to trap Kashmiris by pretending to give false privileges but on the other hand the reality is that Indian has usurped the fundamental rights including right to self-determination of Kashmiris. For the last seven and a half decades, Kashmiris have been suffering from atrocities committed by the Indian forces and India has illegally occupied their land. Now, since 2019, India has taken occupied Kashmir under the direct control of the center with the aim of crushing the struggle of Kashmiris for their right to self-determination. India’s seven lakh occupying forces have made the lives of Kashmiris miserable. Extrajudicial killings continue and thousands of Kashmiris are missing, many of them were reportedly killed at the hands of Indian ruthless security forces.
Ali Raza Syed said, large scale protests in Srinagar and other parts of occupied Kashmir on Modi’s visit to occupied Kashmir on Thursday show that people of Kashmir don’t accept continuity of Indian occupation of their beloved homeland. It is important to mention that posters appeared in Srinagar and other parts of occupied Jammu and Kashmir against Modi’s visit to Srinagar on Thursday. The Kashmiri traders in occupied land also observed shutdown on the Modi’s visit.
Ali Raza Syed also condemned arrest of hundreds of Kashmiri youths during the crackdowns and raids by the Indian army and police in Srinagar and other districts of the Kashmir valley a head of the Modi’s visit and called for immediately release of the detainees.
He said, India has snatched rights of the Kashmiri people on the barrel of a gun and specially Modi’s evil designs in Kashmir through Indian troops’ barbarities against the Kashmiri people had turned the occupied Kashmir into hell. Chairman Kashmir Council Europe demanded the end of atrocities against the people of Kashmir and resolution of Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions reaffirming the right to self-determination of people of Kashmir.
