Kashmiris, Sikhs stage anti-Modi protest in Washington on the occasion of meeting between Indian PM Modi & US President Trump
WASHINGTON, Feb 14 (SABAH): Washington was echoed with anti-India and anti-Modi slogans when Kashmiri and Sikh communities staged furious protest demonstration outside of White House on the occasion of the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi with US President Donald Trump.
The protest was organized by “Friends of Kashmir” and “Sikhs for Justice” in front of the White House in Washington.
The protesters were chanting slogans against Indian Prime Minister saying ‘Modi’s visit to the America is unacceptable’.
A large number of Kashmiri and Sikh communities participated in the protest outside the White House.
The protesters expressed their displeasure at the arrival of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the United States and raised anti-Modi slogans.
The protesters were saying that in a country like America that believes in the supremacy of human rights, a person like Modi, “butcher of Gujarat” who is involved in serious human rights violations, cannot be welcomed at any cost.
On this occasion, Sikh leaders raised strong slogans regarding the establishment of Khalistan and Kashmiri leaders raised strong slogans regarding the freedom of Kashmir.
During Modi’s tenure, not only are Kashmiris being subjected to genocide, but people belonging to other religions and minorities are also being subjected to severe discrimination, the protesters said.
Protesters said Modi’s atrocities in Kashmir are not acceptable in any way. They said that the world should take notice of the Indian oppression and violence in Kashmir and the Kashmir issue should be resolved as soon as possible in accordance with the UN resolutions.
