Kashmir policy continuing from Gracey period till today for right to self-determination of Kashmiris has to be changed: Sirajul Haq
ISLAMABAD, May 15 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that Kashmir policy continuing from the Gracey period till today for the right to self-determination of Kashmiris has to be changed. Sirajul Haq while presenting rich tribute to shaheed-e-Kashmir Syed Ali Shah Geelani said that people of Pakistan and Kashmir have kept alive the freedom movement of Kashmir but unfortunately the Pakistani rulers could not do any mentionable work.
This was stated by Emir JI Sirajul Haq while addressing the launching ceremony of English translation of late Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s autobiography “Wular Kinaray” on Sunday in Islamabad. The ceremony was also addressed by former emir JI Azad Kashmir Abdul Rashid Turabi, Convener Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Muhammad Safi, former minister Azad Kashmir Farzana Yaqoob, JI leader Nasrullah Randhawa, Kashif Chaudhry and Shahid Rafi.
Sirajul Haq said that we present rich tribute to the people of occupied Kashmir who have kept alive this movement while sacrificing their lives. He said that one Pakistani ruler made claims but he used to talk about Tipu Sultan and Sirajud Daula but like other rulers he could also not do anything for Kashmiris. He said that former prime minister Imran Khan could not do anything during his four years rule. He said that India caused great harm to Kashmir on 5th August 2019 but Imran Khan could not do anything.
Sirajul Haq said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have forgotten the Kashmir in their big public gatherings, adding that we say these parties should take one step for Kashmir we will move towards them while running. Sirajul Haq warned that if we will not realize Kashmir then Pakistan will become barren. He said that Pakistani politicians instead of fighting with each other should fight against the enemy of Kashmir and fight against poverty and lawlessness and should get our cooperation.
Sirajul Haq said that the quaid of Kashmir was used to say “we are Pakistanis and Pakistan is ours”, adding that today we announce that we are Kashmiris and Sirajul Haq is Kashmiri. Emir JI said that with the Blessings of Almighty Allah we will secure Kashmir. He said that Syed Ali Geelani is name of an ideology, struggle, movement and life, adding that the English translation of his book has been done so that the world should come to know about his ideology. He said that Syed Ali Geelani passed 1/3 part of his life in jails.
