JKYML condemns searches on Srinagar-Jammu Highway, raids in IIOJK

SRINAGAR, March 25 (SABAH): The Jammu and Kashmir Young Men’s League (JKYML) has strongly condemned the intensified searches and raids conducted by Indian occupying forces on the Srinagar-Jammu highway and various districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), including Srinagar, Kupwara, and Bandipora.

In a statement issued in Srinagar, a JKYML spokesperson decried the harassment of innocent civilians during these operations, terming them a deliberate attempt to spread fear and suppress the voices of freedom-loving Kashmiris.

He said that frequent cordon-and-search operations, arbitrary arrests, and nocturnal raids had turned the region into a military garrison, depriving its people of their fundamental rights.

Referring to the recent raids across the valley, the spokesperson said these oppressive tactics would not deter Kashmiris from pursuing their rightful struggle for self-determination. He reiterated that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people would never be in vain, and their resistance against tyranny would continue despite India’s repressive measures.

The JKYML urged the international community, human rights organizations, and the United Nations to take immediate notice of these escalating violations and hold India accountable for its actions in the occupied territory.
