JKLF to host first ever Kashmiri youth conference in Nottingham, UK on July 14

LONDON/ISLAMABAD, July 10 (SABAH): Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) UK Zone under the supervision of senior party leadership, first time in the history of Britain, is organizing a youth conference in Nottingham on Sunday, July 14.

Comprising of different sessions, the youth conference of British born participants apart from the working and the studying youth from the State of Jammu Kashmir living in UK shall be made aware of their national identity, history, civilization and the State’s culture. The conference will hold sessions of educating the new Kashmiri generation living in UK about the genesis of Jammu Kashmir issue with its political and legal background along with the role of Indo-Pak and the international community besides putting light on the best solution of the issue and formulation of the best strategies to achieve our national independence.

According to the statement issued from the Central Information Office, in order to take the National Liberation Movement to its logical conclusion, the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and its leadership have the honor to reach to the highest levels by taking serious and sustainable, practical and revolutionary measures during the struggle. While trying to foster national unity our ideologues like Muhammad Maqbool Butt Shaheed, late Amanullah Khan and the incarcerated party chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, even in the pitch of darkness took revolutionary steps while endangering their lives and contributed a lot for the cause and created hopes among the people.

The chief spokesperson of JKLF, Muhammad Rafiq Dar, while giving details of the proposed youth conference, said that the main objectives of the conference are to create awareness among the Kashmiri youth living in UK about the national independence movement and their role in the struggle. He said that the arrangements of the proposed youth conference were finalized in a recently held meeting of party leadership in Luton, UK presided over by the local party president Raja Zafar Khan Jr.

According to the statement, besides holding of a youth based interactive session, the experts and the senior prominent party leaders in the conference will discuss the topics like human rights situation in the State, the problems faced in the freedom movement, the unprecedented sacrifices made at the national level, the role of leadership including the martyrs and the political leadership put behind the bars. In addition to the photo exhibition, documentaries filmed on Jammu Kashmir and the current freedom movement will also be broadcasted during the conference while as the written materials based on authentic information will also be made available to the educated young generation to study. According to the JKLF spokesman, a large number of prominent human rights defenders, leaders of various political parties and British political representatives including the parliamentarians and the councilors are expected to participate in the conference.

In the statement Muhammad Rafiq Dar, the JKLF chief spokesman and the special representative of the incarcerated party Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, has made a fervent appeal to the millions of State Subjects living in UK especially the youngsters to attend the conference. Rafiq Dar appealed to the Kashmiri youth to ensure their participation in the conference in order to fulfill the pledge of being associated with the national freedom movement consisting of lakhs of martyrs while proving their patriotism.
