JKLF condemns the brutal killing of people at Dangri village of Rajouri district, Jammu
SRINAGAR, Jan 03 (SABAH): Muhammad Rafiq Dar, the Chief Spokesperson of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has strongly condemned the brutal killing of six people that includes two children in a firing incident in Dangri village of Rajouri district, Jammu.
According to the statement issued from the Central Information Office, Muhammad Rafiq Dar termed the massacre of the innocents as intolerable and said that the whole nation is mourning over this tragedy of barbarity. He said that killing of people, belonging to any sect or religion in the state of Jammu Kashmir, is regrettable and condemnable.
Muhammad Rafiq Dar expressed his grief and sympathy to the families of those killed in the incident and expressed his feelings of equal participation in their grief. He said that the JKLF is engaged in the struggle for the complete independence and sovereignty of the State of Jammu Kashmir and termed such incidents a blatant attempt to malign this sacred freedom movement as a religious and communal movement. The spokesman said that the multi-religious, multi-cultural and multi-linguistic societies of the State of Jammu Kashmir provides it a unique position. He emphasized that this uniqueness of social and religious brotherhood needs to be maintained at every cost.
The JKLF spokesperson termed Dangri like massacres that have taken place in Jammu Kashmir during the last three decades in the freedom struggle, as acts of terrorism and conspiracy hatched by the imperialist forces to destroy the centuries-old atmosphere of brotherhood in the State.
According to the details, as a result of this terrorist act at Dangri in Rajouri six people including two children fell to the bullets and explosions while as near about a dozen others were injured. He said that the firing incident by unknown gunmen in presence of heavily deployed Indian army in the area close to the ceasefire line took place in the late hours of night before yesterday night.
In order to track down and punish the actual forces or culprits behind the act, the chief spokesperson of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front demanded the international community, especially international human rights organizations, to investigate the tragic incident. He said that Dangri, like many other gruesome massacres, need to be investigated at international level so that justice is done, and so that the forces are exposed to the public.
