J&K Democratic Freedom Party pays eulogizing tributes to Syed Ali Shah Geelani on his anniversary

SRINAGAR, August 29 (SABAH): Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has paid eulogizing tributes to veteran Kashmiri liberation leader and former APHC Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani for his peerless contribution and indomitable role in Kashmiris’ ongoing struggle for right to self-determination.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the DFP spokesman advocate Arshad Iqbal said that Syed Ali Geelani will be remembered for a long time in the annals of Kashmir history for his indomitable role in the freedom movement. “Geelani was a fearless leader who took an uncompromising stance on Kashmir and became a voice for the voiceless Kashmiris”, the DFP spokesman said, adding that he had never compromised on his cherished ideals.

He said that Kashmiri people would uphold the mission of Syed Ali Shah Geelani and other Kashmiri martyrs till they achieve their goal of freedom from India’s illegal occupation.

He urged the Kashmiri people to pay a befitting tribute to the deceased leader who devoted his entire life for the Kashmir cause.
