JI will provide free of cost education to boys & girls after coming into power: Sirajul Haq
ISLAMABAD, Mar 08 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that JI will provide free of cost education to boys and girls’ after coming into power. He said that the women will be included in the consultation process of the state system, adding that all the rights of the women will be ensured. He said that separate university and colleges will be established for the women.
While addressing the women rally in Islamabad on Tuesday on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, Emir JI Sirajul Haq said that in current Pakistan, excess is being done with the women, adding that 40 percent women are deprived of the employment. He said that 71 percent women did not get competitive salary to men, adding that salary as par with the men should be given to the women and their protections should also be ensured. He said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) officials ask candidates about their electricity bills and other matters, adding that the ECP should also ask question from the candidates whether they have given rights to their daughters in property and have given “haq mahar”. He said that the person who deprives women of their rights should not be allowed to contest the election, adding that this kind of person could not do justice in the society.
Sirajul Haq said that if any woman becomes widow in Pakistan, she is called back 10 days prior to completion of her “Iddat”, adding that this step is against the Shariat. Sirajul Haq expressed regret over the incident of murder of seven days girl in Mianwali and said that the state should control this kind of incidents. He said that the eyes should not be closed on the matter of violence against women, adding that when the JI will come into power then all the rights including inheritance will be given to women. He said that Islam has given rights and respect to the woman, adding that the world of today could not imagine which rights have been given to the woman by Islam.
Sirajul Haq demanded that all the rights should be given to the women in Pakistan and they should be protected, adding that ensuring due status of women in the society is inevitable. He said that JI has represented the Pakistani women at all forums. Sirajul Haq demanded that Dr. Aafiya Siddiqui should be got liberated from the American imprisonment and brought back to Pakistan.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a large number of women participated in the rally organized by JI at Super Market in Islamabad. The women were holding banners and placards scribing the slogans about the women rights.
