JI will not be the part of game being played between govt & major opposition parties: Sirajul Haq
LAHORE, Mar 16 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Sirajul Haq has said the JI will not be the part of the game being played between the government and the major opposition parties and continue its struggle to bring about the real change in the country.
Addressing a ceremony in Jamiatul Muhsinat (a religious seminary for girls’ education) in Lahore on Wednesday, Sirajul Haq emphasized on the need for the promotion of both the religious and modern education among women of the country, saying the education was the basic tool to change the society.
The nation, Sirajul Haq said, was witnessed to the political circus in Islamabad where politicians were fighting against each other for self-interests. They completely ignored the masses who were spending miserable life due to skyrocketing inflation and unemployment, he added. The ruling elite of Pakistan, he said, had never paid attention for the betterment of the country and its people. Rather, he added, accumulation of wealth was their top priority. The JI, he said, had decided not to be the part of dirty politics and was struggling to create awareness among the people. The JI’s objective, he said, was to make the country an Islamic welfare state to what purpose the millions of Muslims of sub-continent rendered sacrifices. The people of Pakistan, he said, were kept deprived from Islamic system for seven decades under a planned conspiracy.
Sirajul Haq criticized the prime minister for holding public rallies in the KP where local government elections are being conducted. He said the PM was openly violating the rules of the Election Commission of Pakistan despite warnings by the ECP. If the prime minister of the country would himself violate the laws, how he could deliver lectures on the rule of law in the Europe and western countries, he questioned. The JI Emir said the PTI government was a complete failure and it pushed the country towards further decline. He said the prime minister slogans and claims proved pack of lies.
