JI wants to remove all kinds of injustice, oppression, extremism from the country: Liaqat Baloch
LAHORE, Jan 04 (SABAH): Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Secretary General Milli Yakjehti Council Liaqat Baloch while addressing the condolence reference of late Jamaat-e-Islami leader Malik Ayub and public breakfast function at Ichhra, Lahore said that Jamaat-e Islami wants to remove all kinds of injustice, oppression, extremism from the country and to create an Islamic and prosperous Pakistan by eliminating discrimination and prejudice. Our goal is to make Pakistan a truly free, dignified, stable country by overcoming the status quo, the supremacy of the Establishment and due to the incompetence of the political democratic forces and interest based, lack of national unity, good governance and deteriorating sovereignty, it wants to uplift the socio-economic system and eliminate the supremacy of global colonial institutions and powers as well as the inequality in society and the hegemony of the elites.
Liaqat Baloch said that we also want to eliminate undue waivers and privileges for the elite class and promote self-reliance and reliance on one’s own resources, to eliminate interest-based system and to implement the economic system of Islam.
Liaqat Baloch said that after the successive rules of military dictatorships, Muslim League and PPP, the experiment of PTI rule has also failed due to its incompetence. The country has been enslaved by the IMF and subjected to harsh torture. Expensive electricity, expensive petrol, bribery, corruption and unbearable burden of production cost are increasing the horror of inflation, unemployment. Prime Minister Imran Khan has drowned in the gaps of dreams, fantasies, beautiful speeches and indifference. Instead of a strategy of national unity and consensus to get the country out of the crisis, interest-based economy and extremism are constantly being promoted. Failed and unpopular policies/decisions of the present government are forcing federal and provincial governments to flee local government elections. Jamaat-e-Islami will continue its struggle for transparent and fair elections with the empowered local government system and electoral reforms.
Liaqat Baloch condemned the brutality and gang rape of an innocent and mentally retarded girl of Yaharpanwala (Mandi Bahauddin), called on the affected family and demanded that the beasts involved in the incident be taught a lesson.
