LAHORE, Feb 17 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami will send this government home through sit-ins if it does not bother to provide any relief to the masses, says JI Emir Sirajul Haq.
“Other opposition parties only make claims, the JI in realities fighting for the public cause and it will hold the historic march towards Islamabad,” he said while addressing the ceremony of Bukhari Sharif completion at Jamia Uloomul Islamia on Thursday.

They stashed their money in shell companies and their children were living in luxury palaces abroad but here in the country a poor man’s kid was starving and millions of children were out of schools due to poverty. “The incumbent system provides them [rulers] every luxury and snatches bread from the mouth of the poor.”
The JI was struggling to bring real change and transform Pakistan into a welfare state which the Imran Khan government was also failed to bring about despite promises, he said.
Sirajul Haq the three parties ruled over country for years but they did not strength institutions and economy. The today’s Pakistan was presenting a gloomy picture of affairs, he said, adding the tested rulers could no more be able to put the country on track.
Meanwhile protest demonstrations were held on the JI Emir appeal in different cities against the recent hike in fuel prices. The JI will hold protest demonstrations in 15 cities against on Friday. Sirajul Haq will address the sit-in in Gujranwala.
