Jamaat-e-Islami will not stop chasing the govt until electricity bills are reduced: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman


TIMERGARA, Dec 29 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that some are asking for American help to gain power, while some are looking towards the United States for release from prison. He said Jamaat-e-Islami will not stop chasing the govt until electricity bills are reduced.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman expressed these views while addressing the closing ceremony of Khatam-e-Bukhari Sharif at the District Secretariat of Jamaat-e-Islami Ahya-ul-Uloom Bilamabt on Sunday. Former Jamaat-e-Islami emir Sirajul Haq, KPK Northern emir Enaitullah Khan, district emir Maulana Asadullah and other also addressed on the occasion.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said the minister who said that it is not possible to talk with IPPs, this minister started giving good news from yesterday. At this time 40% people in the country are forced to live below the poverty line, while the government is failing in providing education and health facilities to the people, he said and added the elites becoming more powerful day after day while the poor are forced to commit suicide.

Certificates were also distributed among 426 graduating students on this occasion. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the system of Quran and Sunnah is the solution for the improvement of this country. Jamaat-e-Islami has an honest leadership and wants unity and harmony in the country, he added.

He said that America is the biggest terrorist in the world while the United Nations and America are not seeing the bodies of children and genocide in Gaza. He said that when we raised the issue of IPPs, people did not know that what are IPPs?

He said tax is being collected from the salary of the salaried class but income tax is not being collected from IPPs. He said that a minister said that IPPs is an international agreement which is why no one can talk about it while now the said person is saying that they are talking to 13 IPPs yesterday, while they have already talked to 18 out of which five have been shut down.

He said that the Jamaat-e-Islami will not leave the government until the electricity bills are reduced and if the government does not reduce the electricity bills, they will not let the people rest in the houses of Islamabad.

Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that over 40,000 people were martyred in Gaza, while the Muslim rulers are not taking it serious, adding the Jamaat-e-Islami will continue to support the oppressed. He said that the people are going through disturbing situations and the life of farmers, laborers and employees has become miserable while the ruling class is engaged in corruption, theft and increasing the bank balance.
