Jamaat-e-Islami wants to open the closed door of religion in the houses of Islamabad: Ameerul Azim
KARACHI, Jan 20 (SABAH): Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami, Ameerul Azim has said that Jamaat-e-Islami wants to open the closed door of religion in the houses of Islamabad.
Ameerul Azim expressed these thoughts during his presidential address at the Bukhari completion ceremony at Jamia Mansoorah on Monday.
Ameerul Azim said that leading the prayer is a minor form of leadership, but the door to the major leadership of religion is closed, adding this is not politics but a religious obligation.
He stressed upon the scholars to intensify the struggle for the establishment of the religion through use of the stage of the mosques. Central leader Mumtaz Hussain Sehto, Provincial Naib Emir Hafiz Nasrullah Chana, General Secretary Muhammad Yusuf, and other leaders and scholars also spoke on the occasion.
Ameerul Azim stated that along with the propagation of religion, there is a need to instill the spirit of promoting religion and resisting immoralities, only then this religion will be complete.
Religious seminaries and their graduates, the teachers, are deserving of gratitude from the entire Ummah, because they are the ones who have kept the religion alive, he said. Despite all the opposition and challenges, they have managed to keep themselves alive, persistent, and steadfast, he concluded.
