Jamaat-e-Islami J&K has played historic role to keep the Kashmir issue alive: Ghulam Muhammad Safi

ISLAMABAD, July 24 (SABAH): Ghulam Muhammad Safi, the Convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, has said that thousands of people associated with Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir kept the candle of freedom burning while being martyred, as a result of which the Jamaat-e-Islami became a target of Indian tyranny.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Ghulam Muhammad Safi said now, according to reports, Jamaat-e-Islami jailed leaders at gunpoint are being forced to change their historical position, which is very worrying and regrettable. Convener APHC appealed to the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami not to take any decision that would affect its reputation or internal chaos increases or Modi government’s acts of constitutional terrorism in August 2019 are justified and a message of despair is sent to the oppressed but determined nation of Kashmir.

He said that the history of the world is a witness that determined movements and nations live by getting rid of foreign colonial rule. He said recently, Afghanistan and Palestine have revived this historical fact that the power of faith, not the power of arms, is victorious. Despite the unfavorable conditions in Gaza and Palestine, as a result of the perseverance and sacrifices of the Mujahideen, Israeli colonialism has been defeated on the moral and diplomatic fronts, he noted.

Ghulam Muhammad Safi said that the show of unity and persistence can only force India to retreat and our slight failure can provide an opportunity to stabilize the Indian occupation.

Ghulam Muhammad Safi said that for remedy of the steps taken by Narednra Modi, the Pakistani government without showing any weakness should back the legitimate struggle of Kashmiris and should satisfy the international community regarding the ongoing struggle of Kashmiris at every level in Kashmir so that in the resistance circles the disappointment and distrust is ended and India should have no opportunity to furthered its agenda.
