Jamaat-e-Islami decides to postpone the youth march on Islamabad owing to ongoing situation in country

LAHORE, Oct 29 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami has decided to postpone the youth march on Islamabad owing to the ongoing situation in the country.

The JI had announced to hold the march of unemployed youth at federal capital’s D-Chowk on Sunday, October 31.

“The JI leadership met at Mansoora on Friday under the chair of JI Emir Emir Sirajul Haq and decided to postpone the march due to ongoing situation,” JI information Secretary Qaisar Sharif said in a statement. JI Vice-Emir Liaqat Baloch, Mian Muhammad Aslam, Dr. Farid Ahmed Parach, JI Secretary General Ameerul Azeem and other leadership participated.

JI Information Secretary Qaisar Sharif said preparations for the march were almost finalized and large number of unemployed youth across the country had registered their names to take part in the protest rally which was scheduled to be addressed by Sirajul Haq. “The decision is temporary,” he said, adding the JI movement against inflation and unemployment would continue.

Meanwhile JI Emir Sirajul Haq addressed a “Seerat Conference” at al-Hamra Hall and highlighted the need to start a peaceful democratic struggle to bring Islamic revolution in the country. He said the PTI, the PML-N and the PPP were sides of the same coin and failed to meet people’s expectation. Now, the JI had the only option left with the people, he said, vowing to transform Pakistan into a welfare state if JI voted to power.

Sirajul Haq also addressed as chief guest “Khatme Nabowat Conference” in Chenab Nagar Chiniot. Aalmi Majlise Tahafuze Khatme Nabowat organized the event which was attended by a large number of people.
