It is not enough from the federal cabinet to denounce the verdict: Maryam Nawaz
LAHORE, April 04 (SABAH): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President and Party’s Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz Sharif said on Tuesday parliament should play its role in a bid to hold accountable those who were providing facilities to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
Expressing her reservations over the Supreme Court’s decision, Maryam Nawaz said, “It is not enough from the federal cabinet to denounce the verdict.” Going back to 2018, she said, “The responsibility that was taken by Faiz, Khosa and Saqib Nisar back in 2018, has now been taken by the current bench.”
“Today’s verdict is the last attack of the conspiracy, which was started by handing over the Punjab government to Imran Khan after rewriting the constitution,” she added.
She went on to say the PML-N leadership had in the past faced the disqualification, adding that the leadership will again bear the disqualification if it happened.
Talking about PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification, Maryam Nawaz said, “The PML-N supremo’s disqualification over the judgment that came on iqama was even intact today”.
