It is important for country to get all stakeholders on the same page: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, July 11 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami and former parliamentary leader Liaqat Baloch has said that it is necessary for the country to get all the stakeholders on the same page. He said God-willing the Jamaat-e-Islami will get the country out of crises, adding sit-in in Islamabad will represent the aspirations of the people.

Liaqat Baloch while addressing Mansoorah Central Political Consultative Meeting said that the national budget is anti-people, ruining the freedom of the country on the terms of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He said Mian Shehbaz Sharif became the prime minister twice in the last three years, adding before the election great claims of economic revolution were made upon the arrival of Mian Nawaz Sharif in Pakistan.

The fact is that the coalition governments of both the times have been the most failed governments and a great punishment for the country and the nation. He said that the history of 76 years is very clear that running the country is no longer the sole responsibility of landlords, capitalists, patriarchal independent secular leaders and parties. He said civil-military establishment and powerful political forces after independence caused irreparable damage to the country ideologically, morally, administratively and economically.

He said that the Islam-loving and patriotic people of Pakistan must get out of the spell of imagination and false propaganda of wealth and support the competent, honest and public-serving leadership. Jamaat-e-Islami will inshallah get the country out of crises, he added.

Talking to the participants of the protest camp on Liaqat Bagh Rawalpindi Murree Road, Liaqat Baloch said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari are you ready to hear that the second time of coalition in your rule will push the country to the level of Kenya and Rwanda.

He said that power crisis, power load shedding and unaffordable utility bills will lead to the downfall of federal and provincial governments, but the incompetent and bad governance rulers have become a major threat to democracy, the constitution and the parliamentary system. Protests and public sit-ins in Islamabad will be the expression of public aspirations, he said and added Jamaat-e-Islami will not leave the people alone while the struggle to get rid of inflation and incompetent governance will be faster.
