Ismail Haniyeh was the spirit of Jihad and a hero of the Muslim Ummah: Dr. Humaira Tariq

LAHORE, July 31 (SABAH): In a condolence message, Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Dr. Humaira Tariq said that the martyrdom of Dr. Ismail Haniyeh in an Israeli attack in Tehran has not only caused grief to Hamas and Palestine but has also saddened the entire Muslim Ummah. Dr. Ismail Haniyeh was a living embodiment of faith and conviction, reminiscent of the Companions of the Prophet.

In a span of just 7 months, the enemies of Islam, including Jews, Hindus, and their followers, martyred 39 members of Haniyeh’s family, including his mother, three sons, a daughter, two brothers, two sisters, nephews, and nieces, in an attempt to break his resolve. But his determination and steadfastness remained unwavering. “Dr. Humaira Tariq said that those who sacrifice their lives in the way of Allah never die, they are martyrs. This Israeli action will fuel the Palestinian people’s freedom struggle and the desire for martyrdom.

We offer our condolences to the entire Palestinian nation and the Muslim Ummah, and pray that Allah Almighty grants the head of Hamas’ political wing, Ismail Haniyeh, a high status in the hereafter. May Allah accept the martyrdom of all Palestinian and Muslim martyrs, bring peace to the eyes of the Ummah with the liberation of Gaza, protect the lives of all leaders of the Ummah, and enable them to work for the Ummah’s prosperity.

Deputy Secretary Samina Saeed, Dr. Samiha Raheel Qazi, Atia Nisar, Ifat Sajjad, Dr. Zubaida Jabeen, and Taiba Atif have also expressed sorrow and regret over this tragic event and offered prayers for patience and steadfastness for the bereaved.
